Shamari Bell is Mya Holloway, the Fiesty Younger Sister in Reckless Behavior

BAY AREA, CA— Oakland native Shamari Bell will play Mya Holloway, the sassy younger sister of the main character Michaela Holloway in Reckless Behavior The Series. Bell brings years of acting experience from her involvement in a Netflix movie written by Sam Bostic that will be titled “Daddy’s Girl”, and her leading roles in an Easter production titled “The Thorn” and a production titled “Satan”, which was written by Bo’Tiwa Jackson.

Bell was inspired to start acting by her Spanish teacher in high-school. He was an actor stationed in Spain before he moved back to the United States, and he suggested that she try it for herself. She auditioned for a role in a play he was producing for the school, and he gave her the leading role, and additionally used her audition to convince the school to sponsor her to go to the Berkeley Repertory Theatre for professional training.

Regarding her role as Mya Holloway, Bell said,

“I am my sister’s keeper! Viewers can expect some sass and some brutal honesty with a heart of gold behind it all. I’m willing to do anything to make sure my sister knows I have her back, and the viewers will get to see exactly what I mean. Its the Holloway girls, baby!”

In addition to acting, Bell is a party curator and hostess for the Culture Junkies, a model, an ambassador for Caliva, a Trapxart insider, and a writer for Queen Media Collective. She is also a full-time student at San Francisco State University working on a dual major, as well as an after-school program coordinator for Brookfield Elementary School. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, listening to music, spending time outdoors, and doing memorable things like going on a cruise.
