Suit Up was written to pay homage to my resilient Black community. My culture. My essence. We are such magnificent beings; masterfully created. This is an empowerment piece. I think of the current (and past) state of America and immediately get irritated. Thankfully, I’ve mastered the art of letting things roll off of my back.
