Illa is a songstress from the Bay Area. She has an amazing voice and such a sweet personality. She has released a number of projects including her most recent one Clearview which includes the tracks “Wings”, “Serious” and “Traveling”.
I met Illa when I attended a video shoot for Outrageous Karina a few months ago. I talked to her about my brand and her singing career and her energy was everything! She told me that she would support my brand even if I was not a fan of her music after listening to it, which I thought was so genuine and dope of her to say.
After I left the video shoot I listened to her music and was blown away. Being a huge fan of 90’s rnb artists such as Brandy and Monica, I heard the soul in Illa’s voice and could not stop listening to her. I was also excited to discover that she has collaborated with some of my other favs such as T. Carriér and P-Lo.
Her music touched me so much that I decided to shoot my shot and ask Illa if she would create a theme song for my upcoming web series project. I wasn’t sure if she would be interested, but sure enough she agreed to do it. I am super excited to have her involved and can not wait for you guys to hear it!
If you haven’t listened to Illa before, make sure you listen to her ASAP. In 2019, music is pretty much bullshit so when I find a truly talented artist like this queen, I have to spread the word.
Make sure you get your tickets to Iamsummer! Illa will be one of the performers this year and I can not wait to hear her live!
