Hi! Let me update you guys one time for the one time:

BIRTHDAY PARTY TOMORROW…

Tomorrow is the big day… my birthday party 🙂 I am super excited because all my favorite people will be in one place. Even though I am celebrating 10 days in advance, it doesn’t even matter. Having everyone there turnt up means the world to me. Nothing but peace, love and good vibes! To all the people I couldn’t invite I am so sorry. I have more bday plans TBA so bear with me. This is only the beginning mwahaha *evil laugh*.

NEW HAIR CUT….

Last weekend I got my hair done. I was getting sick of the fake hair so I got my hair relaxed and cut. I am in LOVE with my new look. I have always preferred real hair so it feels refreshing to be walking around ahh naturale. Surprisingly everyone likes my hair. I didn’t expect people to compliment me, because I have been trained to feel like society prefers longer hair. However, the compliments and praise have been through the roof so thanks everyone. It is always hard to get used to an appearance change, but this time I feel right at home. It has sucked trying to keep my hair together with this crazy rainy weather, but I have been doing as best as I can. Wrapping my hair every night and lightly flat ironing the pieces that need it. I always end up burning my hair out via flat iron, because I am a perfectionist who wants my hair to look like I am fresh out the shop every day of the week. However, I am finally understanding how unhealthy that is and I am refraining from.

NEW OPPORTUNITIES…

As the year is ending I am really coming up on some dope opportunities. I have a couple meetings set up and this internship I am doing is REALLY coming through for me. Even though I have only been interning for two weeks, I have already met a couple radio personalities who can advise me and help me get on the right track. I am excited! Talking to people who have already excelled in what I want to do is so inspiring. It makes me feel hopeful that I can be in their shoes one day. I have never realized the importance of networking until now. Get out there! Talk to people! Make moves! It is really not what you know, it’s who you know.

A lot of my friends have recently gotten engaged and told me that I will be in their weddings! This is super exciting and I have been asked to be in like 5 weddings. I am happy for everyone but I feel so behind. People have been dating for like 2 to 3 years and I haven’t even been with anyone longer than a year before… not to mention being single now L.O.L. It’s all good though, because our time is not God’s time. I just have to accept that I will forever be a bridesmaid and never a bride haha #ForeverAlone. I am being dramatic, but its hard when everyone around you is in love and happy. Especially during the holidays… or “cuffing season” as they call it. I am glad I am single though for my birthday, because EVERY SINGLE BIRTHDAY has been ruined by an ex. Like on year one of my exes got sick, one year one of my exes didn’t show up and another year my ex didn’t get me a gift. I’d rather be single and not have expectations from the person because it kills my whole vibe.

Man or not, my friends really take care of me and I truly appreciate each and every one of them. Instead of just getting me random gifts my friends went as far as to ask what I wanted for my birthday. I sent everyone links and now I will have all the items I have been drooling over but to broke to buy. I have a great feeling about this birthday and I know that everyone will make sure its one for the books. I will be posting pics from tomorrow and let you guys know what happens! But until then I have to get through work today and a meeting. Everyone have a great day and remember to network and make your presence known. You never know who you might meet ;).
