Feeling Blessed and Highly Favored: Happy Thanksgiving!

“Be thankful for everything that happens in your life; it’s all an experience.”
― Roy T. Bennett

Hello people,

Happy Thanksgiving! I hope everyone has been enjoying time with their families and eating delicious food. I am currently in a food coma sitting with my family watching The Longest Yard. We just got done watching This Christmas, which is one of my favorite movies. This year I decided to make desserts from scratch. My mom always buys store bought desserts and I was sick of it. Banana pudding and store bought sweet potato pie just don’t taste the same as home made ones. Therefore, I made a banana pudding and an Oreo turtle cheesecake for the first time. They ended up tasting so good! I was really nervous, because I can bake and cook somethings, but I am no culinary chef L.O.L. Thank God everyone loved my desserts. It makes me want to cook more often.

Every time the holidays come around, my mom gets all stressed out. To avoid conflict, my brother and I went to Denny’s, because we didn’t want to make the situation worse. I had a lot of fun going to eat with him. We got to talk just the two of us, which is rare since so many people live in our house. I kind of wish my sister would of went, but she was busy making macaroni and cheese. Sibling bonding is always nice, even though we don’t always see eye to eye.

This year I am thankful for so many things. You guys know most of them, because I constantly share my blessings, but I just want to reiterate how blessed and highly favored I am. I shared in my previous post that 2016 was a horrible year for me. However, I could of been shot, abused, homeless, unemployed or even worse dead, so I need to take a moment and praise God for the many blessings he has bestowed on me. Although I wish I would of made better decisions this year, I know that everything happens for a reason. Everything I experienced helped shape me into the person I am today.

Tomorrow I will be going to San Francisco to do some Black Friday shopping. I have been seeing some amazing deals online, so I am excited to see what deals there will be in store. Most Black Fridays I have had to work, because I was working in retail. This year I am off and ready to shop. I just got paid so I am confident that I will be able to knock out a lot of my Christmas shopping, plus buy some things for myself. Forever 21 has an all store 50% off sale tomorrow too, so this will definitely be one of my stops.

Everyone planning on Black Friday shopping please be safe and make sure you don’t regret all the money you spend. Create a budget and stick with it. That’s what I am going to do… I’ll let you know how that goes haha. After shopping, I am going out with my friends tomorrow night . I can not wait, because I have not gone out in a while, so it should be fun.
