BAY AREA, CA— Ronisha Lawson will play Tamika Thompson, the estranged roommate of the main character Michaela Holloway in Reckless Behavior The Series. Michaela Shelton, the creator of RBTS, came across Lawson’s profile on Instagram and invited her to a casting call that was held back in March. Lawson is known for being a freelance model. She’s participated in Model Experience Fashion Show , LA Fashion Week , Trap Art Fashion Shows , and many brand collaborations. Tamika is her first official acting role.
Besides modeling, Lawson is a Project Manager & Career coach currently attending college to pursue the career of a criminal defense attorney. Lawson is from Pittsburg, California and in her spare time she likes to read, sleep and spend time with her family.
Regarding her role as Tamika, Lawson had this to say:
My role as Tamika matched my boujie hood personality to a T! If you like attitude and confidence, Tamika is serving it daily on Reckless Behavior.
Lawson answered a few questions regarding the series;
How was your first experience with acting? Do you plan to act more in the future?
It was a wonderful experience. The cast, the script, the story line was so relatable it didn’t even feel like work. I really enjoyed myself and I would definitely be open to more acting opportunities if the opportunity presented itself.
Who is your favorite character in Reckless Behavior and why?
Michaela, because my character has the most interaction with her and I think their relationship is hilarious.
What advice do you have for aspiring creatives?
Go for it! Whatever it is put forth full mind body and soul into it and see where it goes.
