“He…he…he…” stuttered Charlotte as she scrambled for an answer.
“Didn’t I ask you to find out where Lacey was? Lacey could end me and did you really think this was the best place to bring him? Did you at least discover their entire plan?”
“They aren’t together Billy.”
Charlotte began to tremble, as she was not sure what Billy was going to do. She had not seen him this angry in a long time and the last time that happened, someone ended up dead.
“Did you find out anything?”
“I’m sorry Billy. He doesn’t know where Lacey is. He said he left the house after they got in an argument.”
Billy was peeved at this point in time.
“Well Charlotte, there is only one thing left to do now.”
Brian was driving away from the house and on his way to a hotel when he received a call on his phone. It was a crying Charlotte on the other line.
“Brian! I need you.”
Brian immediately drove his car to the side of the road, slamming on the brakes.
“Are you ok? What’s going on?”
“It’s Billy. He is going to kill me. I need you right here, right now! Please come save me!”
Brian didn’t want to listen but he just could not fight the feelings he had for Charlotte.
“I’m on my way.”
Brian turned his truck around and headed back towards Charlotte and Billy’s house.
“I cannot believe I’m doing this,” he said in his head as he headed back.
Brian wasn’t sure what was going on, but he wasn’t going to leave Charlotte in danger. He had never met Billy, but he was not very happy with him at this moment and he was going to make him pay.
As he pulled up to the house, Brian grabbed a shovel out of his truck as he entered the house. He was not sure who or where Billy was, but he was going to protect himself by any means necessary. As he entered the house, he noticed the lights were down and he heard a voice call out to him.
“Come to rescue your damsel in distress I see.”
“Who’s there?” Brian said into the darkness.
“Your worst nightmare.”
Brian moved towards where he heard the voice and as he took his second step into the darkness, he was clocked in the back of his head and he fell to the floor.
As he woke up, he could not see anything. All he could do was smell the smell of wine in this dark room where he was blindfolded. His hands were tied behind his back and he was not able to move at all.
“Nice to finally meet you Brian. Did you enjoy your visit to our house?”
The lights flickered on and Billy removed Brian’s blindfold.
“Well, let me be the first to welcome you to our wine cellar Brian. It may be your last visit here too.”
Billy had a shotgun by his side as he walked closer to Brian. When Brian saw that shotgun, his eyes got big as saucers.
“You see Billy. You came into my house and didn’t introduce yourself. Heck, I didn’t even invite you to come here. So, what made you think it would be okay to lay in my bed with Charlotte?”
Brian put the shotgun barrel to the head of Brian immediately after asking Brian that question.
“Please don’t kill me!”
“Oh I am not going to kill you yet. I need you to give me some information. Where is Lacey?”
“I have no idea.”
“I’m going to ask you again Brian. Where is Lacey?”
“I don’t know.”
“So you want to play tough I see. Well, I got something for that one Brian.”
Billy brought Charlotte blind-folded and gagged.
“Did you not think I was going to know you were here with my wife. I know you all used to talk back in the day. I know you all had sex in my bed. I know she called you to come back here to save her. You ready to lose her now over not telling me the information I need?”
Brian was an emotional wreck inside. He has just rekindled a relationship with Charlotte after Lacey walked out then back into his life with a ton of confusion and now he was having Charlotte’s life dangled in front of him by a psycho he just met that happens to be Charlotte’s husband.
“For the last time, I don’t know anything. I don’t know where she is.”
Billy, although frustrated, had no other choice but to believe him. In that moment of frustration, he thought of another plan that made even more sense. There was another chair in the room, so he sat Charlotte in the chair and walked over to Brian.
“Brian, what pocket is your phone in.”
“Front pocket, left-hand side.”
Billy dug in Brian’s pocket and grabbed the phone and started looking immediately for Lacey’s number in the phone. Once he found it, he dialed her number. As the phone rang and rang, Billy was anticipating hearing her voice on the phone.
“Hello? Brian?”
“Nope. Wrong. This is Billy on Brian’s phone. However, he is sitting right next to me though. I know you are not gone from the city yet and since my phone isn’t buzzing, I’m sure you haven’t gone through with your plan to ruin me in the city. So, here is what we have. I got Brian all tied up over here at my house. Get over here now if you want to save him or else he will be meeting his maker soon. I’ll text you the address from his phone. And you better not involve the police if you know what’s best for you. Goodbye.”
As soon as he hung up the phone, Billy produced a sadistic smile on his face, knowing he was going to get what he wanted and hopefully kill all these people.
On the other end, Lacey knew she was walking into a dangerous situation with Billy around, but she also knew it was a chance for her to get to Billy and hopefully make things right with Brian. She received the text message with the address and peeled out of her undisclosed location, headed towards her showdown with Billy.
Ohhh SNAP! I wonder if Brian will believe Lacey’s story NOW, or if it’s too late to even matter!
But wait…what did Charlotte mean the last time Billy got that upset “someone ended up dead?” Have I forgotten something or are we in for a treat??
